Feline Hero Who Saved Boy From Dog Attack Is Critically Injured In Cat Fight On Set of ‘The View’

Tara, the heroic cat who made national headlines this week after saving a 4-year-old boy in California from a vicious dog attack, was critically injured during a brutal cat fight that erupted on the set of the ABC daytime talk show “The View.” The horrific cat fight broke out while Tara was making an appearance on the same day that former “The View” cast members Meredith Viera, Debbie Matenopoulos, Joy Behar, Lisa Ling, Star Jones, Elizabeth Hasselback, and Rosie O’Donnell reunited to honor Barbara Walter’s last day ever on the show.

“Everything was going great with Tara’s segment, until Elizabeth said she wished that Tara had been there to rescue her when Rosie O’Donnell used to viciously attack her on air,” Sherri Shepherd told Hollywood & Swine. “That’s when the claws came out. The last time I saw poor Tara was when she was trying to help Barbara who was being attacked by Debbie, Joy, and Star Jones as payback for firing them.”

Fortunately, no one was killed, due to the quick thinking of the show’s executive producer, Bill Geddie, who rushed into the melee on stage with the spray bottle of water he always keeps on hand and separated the women.

“My sister Laura was watching in the audience and it caused her to have flashbacks of the time she was locked in a North Korean prison,” said Lisa Ling. “It was a horrible idea bringing back all those women with all the bad blood they have with each other.”

Out of respect for Tara, who is still recovering at an animal hospital in New York, ABC did not air her segment and agreed to pay of all her medical expenses.
