Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry announced at a news conference earlier today that the highly-anticipated rematch between her fiancé Olivier Martinez and ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, is scheduled to take place in her living room on Christmas morning. According to Berry, the rematch between the handsome male model and the handsome French actor marks the first meeting of the two since their recent Thanksgiving brawl.
“This is the first thing I’ve been involved with that people want to see since 2006’s ‘X-Men: The Last Stand,’ ” Berry told Hollywood & Swine, also revealing that the fight will be televised on Bravo and will feature blow-by-blow commentary from the network’s Andy Cohen. “We chose Christmas morning for the rematch because Aubry and I decided it would be the best way to traumatize our four-year-old daughter.”
The Thanksgiving brawl, which sent both men to the hospital, began when Aubry dropped off his daughter to the home Berry shares with Martinez. Things became heated after Aubry taunted Berry and Martinez by reminding them how their 2012 shark thriller, “Dark Tides,” went straight to DVD and got a disasterous 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Martinez responded by telling Berry’s ex that the only thing more embarrassing than starring in “Dark Tides,” is still calling yourself a male model in your late 30s, and then punched Aubry in the face.
Martinez, the undisputed winner of the first fight after giving Aubry a vicious black eye, is heavily favored to win the rematch by Vegas odds makers. Aubry, who was recently spotted Christmas shopping for snowglobes, which is what Richard Gere’s character used to murder Olivier Martinez with in the 2002 film “Unfaithful,” is confident he’ll be victorious this time around.
