Police have begun a nationwide manhunt for the hologram of Notorious B.I.G. after the rapper shot and killed the hologram of Tupac Shakur during the closing night of The 2012 Coachella Music Festival. The Shakur hologram was ambushed onstage while performing with the real-life Snoop Dogg, when the violence erupted.
According to horrified spectators who were in the audience when the shooting took place, Snoop Dogg tried to disarm the Notorious B.I.G. hologram, but went right through him and fell to the floor.
An anonymous source with close ties to the Notorious B.I.G. hologram, said the rapper was at Coachella to make a surprise appearance with Rihanna, but became livid when he found out that the hologram of Tupac Shakur was also going to be performing.
“The Biggy hologram was assured by the Coachella promoters that he would be the only hologram appearing at the festival,” the source said. “When he heard about Tupac also being there he decided there wasn’t room for two holograms.”
Authorities are worried that this latest incident may ignite an East Coast-West Coast hologram war.
“Next time somebody decides they’re going to resurrect a dead rapper in the form of a hologram, they should think about the possible repercussions,” said a spokesperson for the Riverside County police department. “This never happened when they brought back Nat King Cole to sing with his daughter.”
